Raiganj, 26th July: Based on a tip-off, the Raiganj police, on Saturday night, launched operations under the leadership of IC Suraj Thapa and arrested four men along with fake currency notes. The arrested accused have been identified as Pradip Saha, Pankaj Pramanik, Ratan Adhikary, and Uttam Sarkar.
A huge quantity of photocopies of fake 500 rupees notes was recovered from their possession.
Police have started investigating to find out whether more people are involved in the illegal trade. The arrested accused were produced before the Raiganj District Court on Sunday.
