Foundation stone laid for road construction to Kishoredoba Cremation Ground in Kharibari

Kharibari, 28th October: The foundation stone for a paved road from the PWD bridge to Kishoredoba cremation ground has been laid by Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Forest and Land Officer Kishori Mohan Singha. This initiative is a collaborative effort between Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad and Kharibari Panchayat Samiti.


Reportedly, the construction of the road is expected to cost approximately Rs 3.59 lakh. The foundation stone ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Vice Chairman of Panchayat Samiti Mahesh Barman, Kharibari Gram Panchayat Pradhan Parimal Chandra Singha, and Monika Roy Singha.

In this regard, Kishori Mohan Singha remarked that there was previously no road leading to the Kishoredoba crematorium, and he expressed gratitude that the work has now commenced under the initiative of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad.
