Forest Department sets up a cage to catch monkeys in Siliguri's Sukantapally

Siliguri, 27th February: The residents of Sukantapally in Ward No. 32 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation are facing a lot of problems because of the monkeys. The people alleged that the Municipal Corporation and the Forest Department have been informed, in this regard, several times, but no steps are being taken so far. Therefore, the residents of the area handed over a memorandum to the Rabindra Nagar Forest Office, today.


However, the forest officials reached the area, before the memorandum was handed over, and set up a cage in the Sukantapally Club ground to catch the monkeys.

In this context, the Ward Councillor, Tapas Chatterjee, stated that the people of Sukantapally are facing a lot of problems because of the monkeys. He further stated that the forest officials reached the area and placed a cage before the memorandum was handed over.
