Siliguri, 20th February: Based on a tip-off, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) launched an operation in the Siliguri Junction area last night and arrested a man, identified as Prasun Bhowmick along with foreign currency from the Kanchenjunga Express. The arrested accused is a resident of Belgachia, Kolkata.
Foreign currency worth 1,121 USD (80,327.61 INR approximately) has been recovered from his possession. According to DRI sources, the foreign currency was being transported from Kolkata to Jaigaon. The arrested accused has been produced at the Siliguri court today.
