Siliguri, 22nd June: The undercover cops of Matigara police station arrested five miscreants before they could execute their plan of plundering. The accused have been identified as Tapas Kinnar, Tapan Roy, Ganesh Prasad, Sagar Taraili, and Vivek Dom.
Acting on a tip-off, the Matigara police arrested five miscreants by conducting an operation in Hawa Singha Bridge area. The gang had allegedly gathered in the area with the intention of dacoity. Upon searching, several items including sharp weapons and iron rods were recovered from their possession. All five were produced in Siliguri Divisional court.
