Siliguri, 23rd June: Villagers in Ghoshpukur took away several fish home after a fish-laden truck overturned on Thursday. The incident occurred on the flyover near the toll tax. As the driver and one more person sustained injuries in the accident, they were taken to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
Reportedly, the truck was coming from Andhra Pradesh towards Siliguri. Fish were seen spilled in the middle of the road. As word spread about the accident, locals from surrounding villages rushed there and competed to plunder the fish. However, the cops of Ghoshpukur Out Post reached the spot and seized the truck.
