Chopra, 22nd April: Sensation prevailed after reports of firing in Khunia village under Chopra assembly surfaced, last night.
The villagers alleged that some miscreants entered their area in motorcycles and fired few rounds of bullets. They also fired at a residence, from where shell casings were recovered later. The house door has been damaged in the incident.
On the other hand, the locals expressed outrage over the incident. The IC of Chopra police station and other police officials reached the spot and recovered the shell casings. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
