Siliguri, 26th May: Mock drills are being conducted in the multi-storey buildings and hospitals across the state on behalf of the Fire Department to promptly tackle the situation if ever a sudden fire breaks out. Experienced personnel of the department are spreading awareness through mock drills and providing training on how to extinguish fire.
Likewise, Siliguri Fire Department conducted a mock drill at Siliguri District Hospital today. The hospital staff was shown how to take safe and prompt action whenever a fire breaks out in the hospital through a mock drill. Senior Station Managers of fire brigade Ajit Ghosh and Shankar Sen said that such mock drills are being conducted across the state. Hospitals and multi-storey buildings have been specially selected for the same.
