Siliguri, 05th February: On Sunday night, a massive fire broke out in a warehouse in the DEMU Shed of Siliguri Junction, where valuables worth lakhs of the railways were reduced to ashes.
According to reports, on Monday morning, when the Railway workers arrived at work, they spotted the warehouse gutted in fire. Subsequently, the Railway officers arrived at the spot. Additionally, the RPF personnel also reached the location and initiated an investigation.
In this regard, the Railway workers raised concerns regarding the incident and mentioned the presence of an RPF personnel on duty during the night.
Reportedly, there were filters, furniture, and other items in the warehouse which were burnt to ashes. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
