Rajganj, 21st June: Multiple areas of Fulbari were flooded last night due to persistent rainfall. Residents are facing inconvenience as water entered many houses in Paschim Dhantala village under Fulbari No. 02 Gram Panchayat. People were seen wading through flooded roads in Paschim Dhantala and Rajiv Nagar areas.
Locals alleged that such a situation occurs even after little shower due to lack of proper drainage system in the area. They demanded the administration to look into the matter at the earliest.
On the other hand, the Fulbari Mahananda Barrage is also in spate. Due to this, the lockgates have been opened to avoid future disasters.
