Islampur, 05th February: A chilling news of female infanticide surfaced from Islampur. The 10-month-old was allegedly killed by her mother. The incident has occurred at the Nizampur No-1 Gram Panchayat Dohabari village under Chakulia police station.
It was reported that Sabera Khatun’s daughter went missing from yesterday. Based on the complaint reported by Sabera’s father-in-law, the police launched an investigation and interrogated the accused.
Later, the police recovered the body of the child buried in a reservoir of the area. The body was sent to the Raiganj District Hospital for an autopsy.
