Siliguri, 28th May: The Pradhan Nagar police busted a fake UP police gang. Mohammad Sartaj Ali (42), MD Mehtab (43), and Hariom Pandey (51) were arrested in the incident. All of them are residents of UP.
It has been learned that the three accused individuals were going to Sikkim through Salbari in a vehicle that had a number plate of Uttar Pradesh affixed with it. The vehicle was stopped near Salbari more during Naka checking. After questioning a man who was dressed as a UP police official inside the vehicle, the Pradhan Nagar police learned that it was a fake police team. Following which, the three were arrested.
According to police sources, the arrested individuals were going to Sikkim for carrying out criminal activities. The three have been produced in Siliguri court today.
