Siliguri, 04th September: Recently, people are noticing gold lying on the streets of Siliguri. Many are also collecting them assuming it to be real. Some youths in disguise of rickshaw pullers ask people to give 20-30 thousand rupees and in return, they promise that the matter will not be disclosed. However, the ones taking the gold later realize that the matter was a scam and the gold is artificial.
On Saturday afternoon, a similar incident surfaced in Siliguri. The locals nabbed a person in Burdwan Road and informed the police. The Khalpara outpost police reached the spot shortly after and detained the youth.
It has been learned that a few days ago, this same youth and his associates took 30 thousand rupees from a couple in exchange for fake gold. It is being assumed that a big circle is working behind it.
