Extensive teacher transfers worry parents and students in Rajganj

Rajganj, 29th August: Parents have raised concern over the extensive teacher transfers that they fear could disrupt the children’s education. The parents, on Monday, met the headmaster of the school over the issue. At present, there are 1025 students in Sukhani Bholapara High Madrasah School, Rajganj. The school is supposed to have 36 teachers. However, out of the existing 22 teachers, eight teachers have been transferred while three have received confirmation for their transfers.

One of the parents, Muslim Ali, said that children from the weaker section of society study in the said school. He stated that the consecutive transfer of the teachers worries him along with the other parents and guardians regarding the future of their children. “Poor families do not have the financial capacity to send their sons and daughters to schools outside. Teachers are refusing to come to this school,” Ali added.

On the other hand, the school’s headmaster Aliul Islam said that the management’s hands are tied as government rules are binding. “I have no way to stop the teachers. However, efforts are being made to ensure that the studies of the students are not disrupted,” he added. Apart from this, the headmaster assured that the higher officials have been notified of the situation and have been asked to provide teachers at the earliest.
