Siliguri, 25th May: An event highlighting ‘Vande Mataram’ was organised at North Bengal University campus under the initiative of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), with participation from students, faculty members, and university officials.
The programme witnessed active participation from students across the campus, along with cultural presentations and the collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ as part of the event.
University Acting Registrar Dr. Bhaskar Biswas, Additional Registrar Dr. Swapan Rakhit, Dr. Nikhilesh Roy, Dr. Ardhendu Mandal, along with other faculty members and scholars, were present at the occasion.
Speaking on the initiative, ABVP representatives said that ‘Vande Mataram’ holds historical importance in India’s freedom movement and such programmes aim to promote patriotism among students.
University officials stated that the event was a positive initiative and emphasized the importance of cultural and national awareness activities within academic institutions.
