Siliguri, 18th December: The election of Siliguri Hawkers Corner Babsayee Samity was held today. Reportedly, the Siliguri Hawkers Corner Babsayee Samity’s election was held under the supervision of the Siliguri Greater Retail Traders Committee.
Today, a total of 42 candidates are in the fray for 21 seats in the election of the Babsayee Samity. The number of voters is about 1038 voters. The voting process has started since morning. Police have been deployed in the market to conduct the elections peacefully.
The counting of votes will start after the voting ends. A new committee of the Babsayee Samity will be constituted with 21 winning candidates.
