Kharibari, 09th October: Sensation prevailed in the area after the body of an elderly lady was recovered from the river in Kharibari. The deceased is Usha Rani Roy (62) of Netaji Palliy in Kharibari.
As per police sources, the locals spotted the dead body floating in the river and immediately informed the Kharibari police.
The police reached the spot and took the dead body in their possession and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Police are probing the entire incident.
