DYFI stage protest in Siliguri against fuel price hike 

Siliguri, 03rd July: The DYFI’s Dabgram South Local Committee protested in support of various demands, including the rising prices of petrol and diesel and the withdrawal of the hike in fuel prices. The members of the organization protested in front of the Ashighar petrol pump with placards in their hands, on Saturday.


The committee demanded reduction in the prices of petrol, diesel, cooking gas and other daily necessities. They also demanded free COVID-19 vaccination for the people of the state and stringent punishment against those involved in the fake vaccine scandal in Kolkata. 


Dipankar Saha, secretary of DYFI’s Dabgram South Local Committee, said that the prices of petrol and diesel are increasing continuously. “Yesterday the price of LPG was increased by Rs 25.50. The government has to take it back,” Saha demanded.
