Siliguri, 14th August: Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mandal has been arrested for cattle smuggling case. Siliguri South East Local Committee of DYFI was seen distributing sweets and confectionaries like jaggery, batasa and nakuldana to the locals and passers-by. They were also seen beating drums in joy upon his arrest in Siliguri.
The organization distributed the sweets through a rally which commenced from Subhash Pally market. In this regard, DYFI’s Siliguri South East Local Committee Secretary Subhradev Bhattacharya said that they are overjoyed seeing the TMC leaders who have been taking advantage and looting the common citizens being brought to justice. “We are very happy that the TMC leaders are behind bars after being exposed to such crimes which had been happening for a long time,” he added. Furthermore, Bhattacharya stated that their movement against such unjust leaders will keep continuing and that is why they have been distributing jaggeries, batasas, and nakuldanas to the people.
