Dhupguri, 16th June: As heavy rainfall showered over the city since last night, the embankment of Dudua River in Sakoajhora No. 2 Gram Panchayat area under Dhupguri block was severely damaged.
Following this, the locals stepped forward to repair the levee, however, the Block administration later stepped in. The locals alleged that such incidents happen due to the use of low-quality materials during construction.
