Drug trade in a grocery shop busted in Siliguri, one arrested

Siliguri, 04th November: The police of Bhakti Nagar police station under Siliguri Metropolitan Police busted a narcotic business running in a grocery shop located in Gandhi Nagar, Ward No. 43. The police arrested the owner of the shop identified as Sonu Srivastava.


According to police sources, Sonu Srivastava was selling banned tablets and cough syrup in the grocery shop for a long time. The police learned about the shady narcotics dealings and launched an operation. During the raid last night, the team recovered 136 pieces of tablets and 13 bottles of banned cough syrup. Sonu Srivastava was taken into custody under the NDPS Act. The accused was produced in Jalpaiguri court today.
