Jalpaiguri, 22nd July: The district health department is having a hard time to tackle the growing number of coronavirus cases in the entire Jalpaiguri district. All COVID hospitals in the district have already surpassed the maximum limit to admit new patients. As a result, the health department officials have started preparations to establish another COVID-19 hospital.
As per the information, the Jalpaiguri DM Abhishek Tiwari held a meeting on Wednesday along with the District Chief Health Officer and members of the municipality’s BoA.
During the meeting, it was decided that asymptomatic patients will be treated in home isolation from now on. The district health department is struggling to deal with the increasing number of positive cases every day. Besides, the department has also commenced preparations concerning another COVID-19 hospital in Jalpaiguri.
