Siliguri, 16th April: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, a disinfectant spray tunnel has been set up in Siliguri Ward No. 13 under the initiative of Councilor Manik Dey.
As per the report, all the ward residents have to walk through the tunnel before leaving the ward and also while returning back home. The machine will automatically sanitize the people as the tunnel consists of sprayers that sprinkle disinfectants. The tunnel will be set up in various areas of the ward from Thursday.
Councilor Dey stated that such an initiative has been taken to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. He further added that more tunnels will be set up in the ward soon.
