Siliguri, 10th August: The members of Diamond Youth Vrind Club, located at Ward No. 40 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, started preparations for Durgotsav through Khunti Puja on Wednesday. This year, the club will be celebrating their 13th Durga Puja.
During the Khunti Puja, councilor and mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Ward No. 40 councilor Rajesh Prasad Sha (Munna), Ward No. 41 councilor Shivika Mittal, Borough Committee No. 05 Chairperson Pritikana Biswas, Puja committee president Nitish Aggarwal, club president Tapan Roy, club member Bipul Roy, Sujit Raha, Ranjay Mallick were present.
In this regard, Nitish Aggarwal said that this year is going to be the 13th annual Durga Puja organized by their club. This year, through Durga Puja, the club will spread awareness regarding the harm caused by the use of plastic carry bags.
