Naxalbari, 22nd November: Sensation prevailed after a wild deer entered the residential area of Mallabari in Naxalbari. The incident amassed a large crowd in the area and led to a widespread commotion.
According to reports, on Wednesday morning, the locals spotted the deer in the field and attempted to capture it while it was drinking water in the pond. However, the animal escaped the people and entered the restroom of a house. Subsequently, the forest department was informed of the incident.
Upon receiving the information, the Panighata Forest Department and Elephant Squad promptly arrived at the spot and trapped the deer. Significantly, the forest Department stated that the rescued deer would be released into the dense forest following a routine medical examination.
