Alipurduar, 25th May: The carcass of a wild elephant was recovered from the Dalgaon forest in Alipurduar district. The locals spotted the body this afternoon after they noticed a foul smell coming from the forest.
Upon receiving the news, the forest department reached the spot and recovered the body. According to sources, a post-mortem of the carcass will be carried out to determine the actual cause of its death.
