Rajganj, 20th June: Sensation prevailed in the area after the discovery of a dead body in the Pani Kauri area under Majhiali Gram Panchayat of Rajganj. The deceased has been identified as Lakshmiram Hembram (35), a resident of Brahmatal Para of Sanyasikata Gram Panchayat.
Reportedly, the deceased succumbed to physical assaults following an alleged illicit relationship. According to local sources, Lakshmiram Hembram, a daily wage laborer, was attempting to break into a woman’s house situated in the Pani Kauri area. However, the occupants of the house caught him and allegedly thrashed him. Hembram’s lifeless body was discovered in an adjacent vacant area next to the house this morning.
Meanwhile, after the incident, the members of that house are absconding. Upon receiving the news, Rajganj police reached the spot and recovered the body of the deceased. At present, police are investigating the entire incident.
