Alipurduar, 20th February: Carcass of an adult elephant was recovered by the Forest Department from the Dalmore forests in Madarihat of Birpara block under Alipurduar district, on Thursday.
However, the cause of the death of the animal has not yet been determined. Both the tusks of the elephant are still intact. The autopsy of the elephant is being carried out inside the forest.
