Siliguri, 29th July: DD arrested one more accused in the fake police scam from Balurghat. The alleged accused has been identified as Bijay Munshi.
As soon as the fake police scam case was handed over to DD from the Pradhan Nagar police station, the two pawns associated with the scam were arrested. Last Wednesday, DD arrested Chanchal Poddar, who played the role of the driver in the scam from Bagajatin Colony. The accused was kept on remand for three days.
After interrogation, the DD arrested Bijay Munshi from Balurghat and was brought to Siliguri on Monday. DD today produced the accused in Siliguri court and appealed to keep him on remand. This is the 7th accused arrested so far in association with the fake police scam.
