Darjeeling District Yuva Congress submits a 7-point memorandum to DM S. Ponnambalam

Siliguri, 16th June: The Darjeeling District Yuva Congress submitted a 7-point memorandum to the Darjeeling DM S. Ponnambalam today.


Various demands including the waiver of electricity bills for 3 months, waiver of bus fare and other fees of private schools, more COVID-19 testing facilities at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, quick test reports, and treatment of only Darjeeling district patients at Matigara COVID Hospital were presented through the memorandum.

Darjeeling District Yuva Congress President Rohit Tiwari stated that a 7-point memorandum was handed over to the DM today. Following this, the DM has asked for 15 days to look into the matter. Tiwari further warned of staging larger demonstrations if their demands are not met within 15 days.
