Siliguri, 21st July: Like every year, Trinamool Congress observed the 21st July Martyrs’ Day across the state to pay homage to the 13 activists who died in police firing in 1993.
The day was also celebrated at Kanchenjunga Stadium on behalf of the Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress. At first, the party flag was hoisted following which, Siliguri Municipal Corporation administrator Goutam Deb, BoA member Ranjan Sarkar, Bibek Baid, Alok Chakraborty, and other activists paid homage to the martyrs by laying flowers at the altar.
Goutam Deb called for united resistance and protest from Ekushey Mancha.
