Siliguri, 18th April: In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, the newly appointed District Magistrate (DM) of Darjeeling District S. Ponnambalam and the Police Commissioner Tripurari Arthav inspected the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital on Saturday.
The DM, along with the hospital Superintendent Kaushik Samajdar, Principal Prabir Kumar Deb, Hospital Dean, doctors and the police officials inspected various aspects of NBMCH to ensure whether the hospital is providing proper medical facilities or not to deal with the pandemic.
As per the report, the DM also held a meeting near the Principal’s office by maintaining social distance. The current situation was discussed during the meeting.
