Dalkhola, 27th August: The Dalkhola police in Uttar Dinajpur district arrested three youths with 260 grams of brown sugar and cash. The arrested accused have been identified as Rakibul, Anarul Haque, and Akmal Hossain.
It has been learned that the Dalkhola Police, based on a tip-off, detained two motorcycles on NH 31 in the Purnia More area. After searching, 260 grams of brown sugar and 33 thousand rupees cash were recovered. Following which, the three were arrested.
According to police sources, the estimated market value of the recovered brown sugar is Rs 2.5 lakh. They were produced at Islampur sub-divisional court on Friday. Dalkhola police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
