CPIM stages protest against petrol-diesel price hike in Siliguri

Siliguri, 26th June: The CPIM Dabgram Area Committee-2 staged a protest at Haiderpara Bazar in Ward No. 39 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Saturday in protest of the abnormal rise in petrol and diesel prices. The members of the organization also demanded free COVID vaccines for the people of the state.


Dilip Singh, former councillor of the ward Reba Sarkar, and other party activists were present at the programme.

“Petrol-diesel prices have gone up abnormally. We strongly protest against this. The prices of petroleum products must be reduced soon. Also, free COVID vaccines should be given to the people of the state,” CPIM member Singh said.
