Siliguri, 07th September: CPIM staged a protest at Siliguri Municipal Corporation demanding resume drinking water service as well as multiple municipal services immediately.
A memorandum was also handed over to the municipal commissioner. Former mayor of SMC water supply department Sharadindu Chakraborty was present during the protest. He said that the citizens are suffering from water shortage for the past few days and accused the present board of not taking any initiatives. “The current administrative body lacks experience. Due to which these problems are being created,” he alleged.
