Siliguri, 16th July: The NJP Area committee, Fulbari Area Committee, and Siliguri No. 03 Area Committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) staged demonstrations at Borough IV office and submitted a memorandum in support of multiple demands.
Allegedly, almost all services from widow allowance to old age allowance have been stopped. In addition to this, corruption in COVID-19 vaccines has also surfaced. The power of ward coordinators has been curtailed. They demanded to stop cosmetic development immediately and give proper services and free vaccines to the people. A memorandum was also issued to Borough IV Officer.
Sharadindu Chakraborty, a member of the district secretariat of the organization, warned of launching campaigns in the coming days.
