CPIM candidate Nurul Islam campaigned in Ward No. 45

January 06, Siliguri: Nurul Islam, the CPIM candidate from Ward no- 45 conducted a door-to-door campaign following the COVID guidelines, on Thursday. During the campaign, Nurul Islam heard out the grievances of the ward residents and appealed to all to vote in his support.


It is to be noted that Nurul Islam is contesting the SMC elections for the second time from Ward no-45. The political journey of Nurul Islam started from the year 1994. He contested from many wards in Siliguri and won multiple times.


During the election campaign, Nurul Islam stated ” In my last five years’ journey, I have done various development works like the expansion of roads, sewers, and parks. At the same time, I also wrote to CM Mamta Banerjee demanding to give leases to the people living on the land of PWD.”

He further assured that after this victory all these issues will be resolved. He said that the present administrative board is responsible for the problems being faced by the people of the ward and it completely failed to provide civil services.
