Siliguri, 30th April: Due to the second wave of COVID-19, the whole country is going through a stressful time. Meanwhile, Ashok Gupta Bhaya of Silguri and an owner of a hotel on Hill Cart Road, has come forward to help the corona patients, despite being a heart patient himself.
As per the report, some ambulance drivers demand a hefty amount to transport the corona patients to the hospital and nursing home. People with financial problems face problems and patients are not able to reach the hospital at the right time. In regard to the current situation, he and his driver, Gaurang Biswas, will transport Corona patients to the hospital free of charge after the evening. During this time they will wear PPE kits, masks, and gloves. He will arrange for one more person to accommodate the patient.
Ashok Gupta informed, that if anyone and anywhere in the city is in trouble regarding the transportation of the infected to the hospital, they can contact them. Even though he is a heart patient, but there is no fear in him. He said, even if he dies, he will die by doing good deeds.
