COVID-19 Lockdown impact: Musicians of Siliguri struggle to make ends meet, Siliguri Music Welfare Society seeks help

Siliguri, 12th June: Due to the prolonged period of lockdown, the musicians of the city are said to have no source of income for the past several days and are living under severe crisis.


In this context, Siliguri Music Welfare Society President Ashish Banerjee and General Secretary Bablu Talukder, on Friday, stated that in present times, several musicians are already deprived of the respect they actually deserve. On top of that, the nation-wide lockdown imposed in view of the coronavirus outbreak has worsened the situation.

Intending to help such distressed artists, the aforementioned organization is striving to stand by them. They also urged the government as well as the common people to step forward to help the local artists.
