Coronavirus outbreak: Three Sikkim students return safely from China

Gangtok, 1st February: Amidst the Coronavirus scare, three out of the five students from Sikkim who had gone to China for higher studies returned home safely.


According to information provided by the Secretary of Health Department of Sikkim, the three students who returned from China were found to have no symptoms of the virus after a physical examination by the Sikkim medical team.

Among the three students who underwent the scrutiny, two are residents of Gangtok, and the other is a resident of Jorethang, located 39 km away from the capital Gangtok. On the other hand, efforts are being made to contact the other two students who also returned to Sikkim from China by the Sikkim Health Department.
