Siliguri, 05th April: The undercover cops of Pradhan Nagar police station arrested three people with three firearms and three live cartridges by conducting two separate operations last night. The arrested accused have been identified as Arjun Chhetri (25), Ashish Praja (27) and Dayal Sheel (25).
According to police sources, the police received a tip last night that two suspicious looking youths were wandering under the Raja Rammohan Roy Bridge. Acting promptly, the police conducted a campaign and nabbed Arjun Chhetri and Ashish Praja from the spot. One county-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
Likewise, Dayal Sheel was caught with a country-made pistol and a live cartridge by the police in Pokai Jote area. The Pradhan Nagar police have demanded custody of the trio for further investigation after presenting them in the Siliguri court.
