Cooch Behar, 23rd December: Indira High School of Mekhliganj assembly is once again in limelight. The name of a teacher named Kanika Barman of Indira High School is registered in the list of fake teachers on the SSC website. Ever since her name appeared in the list, the said teacher is not going to school.
It is alleged that she has become a teacher by rigging the OMR seat. It may be known that a few months ago, Ankita Adhikari, daughter of Mekhliganj Assembly MLA Paresh Chandra Adhikari, was facing allegations of illegal employment. In Babita Sarkar’s case, Ankita Adhikari was dismissed from her job as a school teacher. Ankita Adhikari was removed from her school job on the orders of the court. Babita Sarkar was appointed in her place at Indira High School.
After a few months, there has been a stir in Mekhliganj after the name of a teacher from the said school appeared in the list of fake teachers. According to school sources, a year ago, the teacher was transferred from Kaliachak and appointed to Mekhliganj Indira High School. She is a resident of Dhupguri in the Jalpaiguri district. In this regard, the headmistress of the school said that the teacher is not coming to school for two days. She further added that she has not yet received any information as of now.
