Constitution is being threatened in West Bengal: Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar

Siliguri, 14th May: The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has accused Trinamool Congress of the unrest and attacks occurring in West Bengal following the assembly election results.


In view of this, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar took stock of various areas of Cooch Behar on Thursday. Subsequently, the Governor arrived in Siliguri today and held a press conference. During this, he questioned the role of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

While addressing the media, he said that according to the constitution, work is out of order, and democracy is being attacked in West Bengal. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar stated that the rights of common people are at stake and people are afraid of the police.


He further questioned the Chief Minister for not visiting or sending the representatives to the places after the election results. He also questioned the role of police and administration
