Fulbari, 05th September: A trailer carrying coal overturned on the roadside early Thursday morning at around 3:30 am in the Fulbari area along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway. The trailer, en route from Guwahati to Durgapur, lost control and collided with a parked container, causing significant damage to the latter.
According to drivers in the area, the recurring accidents are largely attributed to poor road conditions and the narrow width of the highway. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in this incident.
Upon receiving the information, the Fulbari Highway Traffic Police promptly arrived at the scene. The vehicle has since been removed, and an investigation into the accident is underway.
