Fulbari, 12th April: Preparations are underway for an election rally in Dabgram-Fulbari on April 13, where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to participate ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
According to reports, the election rally will be conducted in support of Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate of the Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha constituency, Nirmal Chandra Roy. Previously, the Chief Minister had conducted similar rallies on April 4 in the Malbazar Assembly and on April 5 in the Jalpaiguri Assembly. On Saturday, the public meeting will take place at the Jabravita Junior High School ground in the Dabgram-Fulbari constituency of Jalpaiguri district.
It is to be noted that despite winning the Lok Sabha seats in Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Alipurduar in 2014, the TMC lost all three seats to BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. As a result, the party is focused on winning back these Lok Sabha seats this time.
