Siliguri, 17th August: The members of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), on Monday morning, staged a protest in Siliguri Sevoke Road area against rising electricity bills and privatization of the power sector.
According to the organization, the general public is facing problems in paying such big amounts amid the ongoing pandemic. Hence, they warned of staging larger demonstrations if the matter is not resolved soon.
