Islampur, 21st July: Amid the outrage over the brutal rape and murder of a teenager in Chopra, the case took a different when the body of the main suspect Feroz Ali was recovered from a pond in Chaturagachh area, on Monday morning.
Following the incident, a murder charge was filed against the family of the deceased girl on behalf of Feroz Ali’s family members. Based on the complaint, the police arrested her father and two elder brothers. They were produced before the Islampur sub-divisional court today.
In this context, Superintendent of Police Sachin Makkar stated that the girl’s father and elder brothers have been arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the family of Feroz on Monday.
It is to be noted that on Saturday night, a teenager was raped and murdered after she was allegedly kidnapped from her house. The victim’s family alleged that the girl was missing since that night. After searching many places, her body was found lying under a banyan tree in the Chaturagachh area on Sunday. Following this, the body of the main suspect behind the crime Feroz Ali was recovered from a pond of the same area on Monday morning.
