Chandras of Ambari prepare for tomorrow’s Rath Yatra in full swing

Rajganj, 30th June: Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra will be held tomorrow across the country. Keeping in mind the COVID-19 outbreak, the Rath Yatra was celebrated on low key for the past two years. However, this time around, devotees are determined to celebrate the festival with great pomp.
Likewise, the Chandra family in Ambari is also preparing for the yatra of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra in full swing in Ambari under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block. As per the information, Rakhal Chandra held the Rath Yatra in the said area for a span of 14 years. After the partition of the country, his son, Sunil Chandra continued the tradition in Ambari. As of now, his four grandsons are taking forward the family’s legacy
Animesh Chandra said that the ceremony was started by his grandfather and at present him along with his three brothers have be holding the auspicious Rath Yatra. He added that the festival will be celebrated tomorrow with much zeal in Ambari. Also, Prashad will also be arranged for the devotees.
