Central forces arrive at polling stations for Lok Sabha polls in Rajganj

Rajganj, 18th April: The Central forces have arrived at the polling stations in Rajganj for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections to be held on April 19. Ambari’s Chinta Mohan High School and Kharkharia Primary School in Rajganj under the Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha constituency received the central forces.


Reportedly, four central forces personnel will be deployed at each center. Jalpaiguri district holds 18, 85, 963 voters, out of which, 9, 58, 611 are males and 9, 27, 339 females. Voting will be held in a total of 1904 booths.

It is to be noted that the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state would commence on Friday where voting would be held in Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar Lok Sabha constituencies. The voting process would commence at 7 a.m. and conclude at 6 p.m.
