Siliguri, 31st July: The first phase of Census 2027 in West Bengal is set to begin through digital mode from August 1. Ahead of the programme, the administration has launched a special initiative to spread awareness among citizens.
On Friday, Darjeeling District Magistrate officially inaugurated a specially designed ‘Census 2027 awareness tableau’ at the office of the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Officer.
The tableau will be used to create awareness among people about the census process. This time, citizens will be able to register their details themselves through the digital self-enumeration process.
The administration stated that the census is a crucial national process through which population and socio-economic data of the country are collected. The self-enumeration facility will allow people to provide information online, making the entire process easier and faster.
